• Check coolant / antifreeze level and top up
• Check condition and tension of fan / alternator belt. Adjust if necessary.
• Check condition, tension and adjust as required, auxiliary belts (excl. timing/cambelt)
• Drain engine oil and refill (special or synthetic oils subject to additional charge)
• Replace oil filter
• Check wheel bearing for play, noise or roughness
• Check steering rack gaiters
• Check shock absorbers for operation
• Remove wheels, check brake pads and disks (front only)
• Check callipers for leaks and operation
• Visually check brake hydraulic system, pipes, and hoses for leaks, chaffing, and corrosion
• Check drive shaft gaiters for security and leaks
• Inspect exhaust system for leaks, security, and noise
• Check tyre condition, tread depth, record readings (including spare)
• Check and adjust tyre pressures (including spare)
• Check condition of fuel lines, fuel cap, and fuel filler
• Replace wheels and set wheel nut torque to manufacturer settings
• Ensure any comments or requests have been actioned
• Reset vehicle service light where applicable, stamp and replace service book
• Road test
• Remove protective covers

• Check spark plug interval (petrol models only)
• Check fuel filter interval/condition
• Check windscreen condition
• Check mirror condition interior and exterior
• Check number plates
• Check handbrake for operation and travel
• Check clutch operation
• Top up 12V battery if applicable and check security
• Check steering / suspension components for ear and corrosion
• Remove all wheels, and check brake linings, discs, drums and pads for wear
• Check auxiliary handbrake shoes where applicable
• Check brake shoes for wear or damage
• Check security of handbrake linkages, lubricate if applicable
• Check prop shaft and drive shaft joints
• Visual inspection of the ignition system
• Replace air filter element
• Check radiator for leaks
• Check condition of radiator cap
• Check coolant hoses for leaks and condition
• Check expansion bottle and cap for leaks
• Lubricate door and bonnet hinges
• Visually check for signs of misalignment
